No tenemos sitio donde estudiar!!!

Bueno, puestos a variar en la temática de libros, aunque no saliéndonos en exceso del tema, os contaré un suceso que ocurrió ayer y del que soy en parte responsable. Y es que en mi pueblecico, Alcantarilla, la biblioteca de la que disponemos además de ser obsoleta, cutre y tener una escasa presencia de bibliotecarios y actividades en ella, el espacio que se nos ofrece a los estudiantes de esta localidad es, cuanto menos, ridículo en comparación con la cantidad de gente que tiene que estudiar. Basta decir que disponemos tan sólo de unas 60 plazas, a las que a veces se une una pequeña sala donde deberían haber ordenadores y donde como mucho hay tres mesas, si llega, y esto para una población en la que los estudiantes de 12 a 24 años según el censo ronda los 7.100, añadiendo a la gente que va a estudiar para oposiciones, o sencillamente a leer…es claramente insuficiente.
Por ello, la Red de Jóvenes Solidarios de Alcantarilla nos manifestamos ayer en el Jardin de las Palomas de nuestro pueblo para reclamar al Sr. alcalde que a falta de una biblioteca más amplia, y con propósito también de que la construya, nos habilite lugares donde estudiar ya que en Alcantarilla hay varios lugares que sin ningún problema podrían utilizarse para esta acción. Así, bajo una pancarta con nuestro lema “No tenemos sitio donde estudiar”, nos sentamos a estudiar en el jardín, a esto le añadimos actividades representando la incompetencia y escasez de la biblioteca añadiendole una pizca de humor. Aun así, en principio nuestra llamada al alcalde fue interrumpida por la policía local, que subestimaron la veracidad de nuestra autorización para realizar este acto.
Finalmente todo salió bien, y estamos recogiendo firmas para presentarlas al ayuntamiento, también recibimos el apoyo de los ciudadanos que pasaban por allí y que continuamente repetían a los agentes para que permitieran nuestro acto “a los únicos que les ha dado por estudiar…”, claro que no faltaron otros comentarios acusativos aunque ello no quitaba que nos hiciesen gracia, por ejemplo, una señora pasó y sólo se le ocurrió decirnos: ” picos y palas es lo que os hace falta a vosotros…”. Además se nos unieron algunos medios de comunicación, por lo que ayer se emitió en RNE una entrevista a la portavoz, hoy en los periódicos de La Verdad y La Opinión se nos ha concedido un artículo dónde narran el suceso, así como en el periódico virtual Alcantarillasi.es y mañana en el periódico local Alcantarilla Siete Días. Espero que participéis en las firmas y nos ayudéis!!!

La verdad es que si hay tanta gente en Alcantarilla que necesita una biblioteca no es normal que no haya pero, ya lo dijo la Ayuso, en este país no hay dinero para libros, es todo para música y fiestas XD
